Author's Biography- ENTRY ONE

The author of "Getting the Girl," Markus Zusak, grew up in Australia. When he was young he wanted to be a house painter like his father, but quickly learned that he was better at getting paint on himself than on the houses. He started writing when he was sixteen, after reading some really good books and becoming inspired to write his own. He writes every day, usually about things he notices or experiences. He enjoys surfing when he isn't writing. He is well known for two other amazing books, "The Book Theif" and "I Am The Messenger."
